Surgenor Truck Group in Ottawa needs your help to meet consumer demand for quality truck parts with you joining our team as a full time (7:30 a.m. Tuesday to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday) Heavy Truck Parts Counter Person.

We are a busy Mack/Volvo and Isuzu Trucks dealer who is committed to ongoing development of training paths for technical advancement. If you are an enthusiastic and customer-oriented individual with knowledge of heavy duty truck parts, this could be the role for you!

Duties & Responsibilities of Heavy Truck Parts Counter Person include:

  • Assist retail and wholesale customers, answer phones and serve walk-in customers with their parts needs
  • Work back counter with technicians and assist them with looking up parts and invoice to work orders
  • Use OEM parts lookups to find correct parts for customers
  • Order parts from OEMs, aftermarket suppliers, and local suppliers
  • Prepare and create invoices, return credits, purchase orders as needed
  • Ensure customer returns and warranty parts are processed as needed
  • Receive stock and perform returns as needed
  • Setup pickups and deliveries for customer orders
  • Assist with yearly inventory and monthly inventory counts
  • Pick parts orders and have the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to use a forklift
  • Maintain and complete assigned training
  • Assist parts staff with maintaining a clean and organized front counter and parts warehouse
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education & Qualifications:

 

  • 1 years Car/truck dealer experience (within past 5 years)
  • 1 years Warehouse/Inventory experience
  • 2 years customer service experience
  • Bilingualism (English & French) is an asset
  • Parts sales experience an Asset
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to use various computer programs (CDK, Procede, Carmack etc. experience) a definite asset)
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay & Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package complete with benefits and abundant opportunities for advancement.

$45,000 to $55,000 per year & Bonus ($150 to $300) paid monthly
