Surgenor Truck Group of Kingston, has 10 technicians, two of whom are master technicians, and two of whom have completed their EV certification. Surgenor's Ottawa location has 16 technicians, 5 master techs and two being certified EV techs. These Electric Master Technicians completed several months of training in Mack information and electronic systems, battery electric vehicles, and electric decommissioning and commissioning. Both locations have a service bay dedicated to battery-electric vehicles (BEVs). Surgenor was required to install Heliox fast DC 50 KW chargers at both of their dealership locations.
Certified EV Mack dealerships are also equipped with highly trained sales professionals. Surgenor certified Mack EV sales professionals complete several levels of curriculum in electromobility solutions, the Mack Ultra Service Agreement, charging infrastructure and Mack LR total cost of ownership. This training has provided Surgenor truck sales staff the resources and expertise to best assist customers with their transition to electric fleets.
