Full Time Licensed 310T Truck Technicians

Surgenor Truck Centre in Ottawa, Ontario is experiencing record sales of Volvo, Mack and Isuzu trucks. Licensed 310T Heavy Truck Technicians are needed immediately for full-time employment on day and evening shifts. Our evening shift operates on a 4-day work week. Surgenor Truck Centre is committed to the ongoing development of training paths for technical advancement.

HEAVY TRUCK PARTS OUTSIDE SALESPERSON

Surgenor Truck Group operates a heavy truck dealership in Ottawa, Ontario and immediately requires an experienced Heavy Truck Parts Outside Salesperson for full time employment. While previous truck dealership experience is preferred, strong automotive experience would be considered an asset as well.

Duties & Responsibilities of Parts Sales include:

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of current and target truck parts customers by providing accurate, courteous and professional service in person and also by telephone and electronic communications.
  • Establish a strong relationship with all stakeholders at each client’s business.

  • Work as part of a team within the dealership environment

  • Develop a product expertise for OEM truck parts

  • Visit all assigned customers

  • Prospect new customers

  • Review special orders, bulk orders, and special pricing with parts manager

  • Coordinate with other dealer depts. as necessary

  • Complete call reports, time sheets, drivers logs, and expense reports.

  • Attend and maintain training

  • Act as public relations liaison for the dealership

  • Maintain a professional appearance

  • Assist parts front counter answering phones if required

  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Education & Qualifications:

  • 2 years of applicable sales experience in a similar role
  • Minimum Grade 12 education required with math and English skills essential
  • Excellent knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to use various computer programs
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Full-Time Truck Parts Counter Sales

Surgenor Truck Group in Ottawa needs your help to meet consumer demand for quality vehicle service and repair by you joining our team as a full-time Heavy Truck Parts Counterperson for day shift or possible Monday to Thursday night shift position.
We are a busy Mack/Volvo and Isuzu Trucks dealer who are committed to ongoing development of training paths for technical advancement.

Duties & Responsibilities of Parts Counter Sales include:
· Processing orders and requests for parts by providing accurate, courteous and professional service to telephone, electronic and over-the-counter customers
· Preparing customer orders and handle product returns
· Assisting Parts Manager in daily operations including maintaining inventory, stock levels and assisting on other duties
· Processing payment transactions and handle cash on a daily basis
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
· 2 years of applicable experience in a similar role
· Bilingualism is an asset
· Excellent knowledge of heavy duty truck parts

FULL TIME HEAVY TRUCK SERVICE MANAGER


We are looking for an experienced full-time Heavy Truck Service Manager to join our dynamic team. The potential candidate will work closely with our General Manager to contribute to the day to day operation of the dealership’s service department in compliance with established policies and procedures. This person will help plan, direct, lead and control all activities of the service department to ensure the overall growth and profit objectives are met. The Service Manager will need to maintain the highest quality standard of professionalism in serving the customer, working with our service team, and identifying all their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities. Work with the General Manager to take appropriate action as necessary.
  • Provide Administrative support to the department, ensuring work orders are closed in a timely manner
  • Review operational efficiency, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Work toward reaching short and long term operating and financial objectives· Stays informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers that will assist in sales efforts· Maintains records and reports on all phases of service activities· Helps coordinate efforts with outside parts and service sales personnel to achieve full market penetration· Keeps General Manager informed of all pertinent service activities· Review Warranty Accounts Receivable and assist the Warranty Department in any way needed to expedite claim processing· Coordinates and oversees that training programs are properly conducted and maintained· Ensure safety and security of department staff, and assist with maintaining the appearance of the building and vehicle maintenance· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Should possess a high school diploma· A college degree or a certificate/degree from a trade school and a 310T license is preferred, but not required· Minimum 5 years’ Service Management experience; heavy truck experience is preferred but not required· Must have strong customer service skills· Must have general computer knowledge Surgenor Truck Group welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
