Duties & Responsibilities of Parts Counter Sales include:

  • Processing orders and requests for parts by providing accurate, courteous and professional service to telephone, electronic and over-the-counter customers
  • Preparing customer orders and handle product returns
  • Assisting Parts Manager in daily operations including maintaining inventory, stock levels and assisting on other duties
  • Processing payment transactions and handle cash on a daily basis
 
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
 
  • 2 years of applicable experience in a similar role
  • Bilingualism is an asset · Excellent knowledge of heavy duty truck parts
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to use various computer programs
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Inventory Management
  • Scheduling Staffing Management
  • Handling major fleet account sales
  • Working with suppliers on marketing and parts pricing
  • Purchasing and marketing all-makes parts
  • Ensure staff completes required training
  • Strategizing and optimizing road parts sales
  • Assist in the overall management of the department
  • Responding to tenders posted on Merx
  • Achieve expected gross profit percentage
  • Manage receivables
  • Promote accessories through innovative displays and promotions
  • Maintain range and depth of inventory while minimizing investment
  • Minimize aged stock on hand
  • Maintain a perpetual inventory process
  • Track and follow up on back-order parts
  • Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department employees
  • Develop and enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customers satisfaction
Preferred Education & Qualifications: 
 
  • 2 years of applicable experience in a similar role
  • Bilingualism is an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to use various computer programs (CDK experience a definite asset)
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in a fast- paced environment
