Surgenor Truck Group operates a heavy truck dealership in Ottawa, Ontario and immediately requires an experienced Heavy Truck Parts Outside Salesperson for full time employment. While previous truck dealership experience is preferred, strong automotive experience would be considered an asset as well.
If you are an enthusiastic, highly-motivated and customer-oriented individual with knowledge of heavy duty truck parts, this could be the role for you!
Duties & Responsibilities of Parts Sales include:
Develop and maintain a portfolio of current and target truck parts customers by providing accurate, courteous and professional service in person and also by telephone and electronic communications.
Establish a strong relationship with all stakeholders at each client’s business.
Work as part of a team within the dealership environment
Develop a product expertise for OEM truck parts
Visit all assigned customers
Prospect new customers
Review special orders, bulk orders, and special pricing with parts manager
Coordinate with other dealer depts. as necessary
Complete call reports, time sheets, drivers logs, and expense reports.
Attend and maintain training
Act as public relations liaison for the dealership
Maintain a professional appearance
Assist parts front counter answering phones if required
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
2 years of applicable sales experience in a similar role
Minimum Grade 12 education required with math and English skills essential
Excellent knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Ability to use various computer programs
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
